Ok, lets go! 

PROBLEM: So, one day I was "cooking" and burnt all my eggs on my pan, yes...I know, I can't even cook some eggs, and obviously they stuck to the pan.

Then I had to clean it up...something I hate doing. I started with the classic kitchen sponge but that wasn’t getting anything off even with water, then I turned the steel mesh sponge but that was even worse also scratching the pan which was supposed to be "anti-stick" lol, the irony. Meanwhile, to make it even worse, these sponges were filling with egg, and I couldn't wash it off.  At the end I had the idea of using WOOD! this solved the issue, but I only had a wooden spoon and Japanese chopsticks so, as you can imagine, it took me a while ahah. 

IDEA: I googled and check in stores for something reusable in wood specifically made for scraping and cleaning pots and pans and found nothing. I asked around and people basically leave water in the pan for a while and then clean it or use wooden or plastic kitchen spatulas.

PRODUCT: So, we created the only spatula specifically made to scrape/clean pots and pans. The spatula is 100% made of bamboo, so it's organic and won't scratch your pots and anti-stick pans. It fits in your hand with no bulky handle and will last a very long time unlike sponges. The shape was designed laser scanning a very large sample of different pots and pads to achieve the optimal form to get any angle or curvature. 

USES: This spatula is meant to scrape pans but can also have multiple uses in the kitchen such as flour utensil, dough scraper and cutter. These utensils are usually made of silicone or plastic that isn't great when dealing with our food. The spatula could also be used to apply stucco to walls or anything you may think of, so be creative!

ENVIROMENTLY FRIENDLY: The bamboo spatula prevents the spreading of microplastics, reduces the use of plastic and is biodegradable. It will last way longer than a regular disposable sponge. Bamboo also grows really fast, so there is no issue of sustainability. ​

 We will produce the spatula in a factory in Indonesia that employs women that were stone miners. This helps the company stay in business and save these women from terrible working conditions. We are proud of being partnered with them. The company is called GUMI BAMBOO.
